Pandas have proved to be a hit. WoW cataclysm Gold Mists of Pandaria expansion sold 2.7 million units during the first week of sales and boosted the game's global player base to more than 10 million players, Blizzard tainment announced today. WoW Cataclysm Classic 's fourth expansion sold 2.7 million copies within a week.

Mists of Pandaria launched on September 25 and became available in China on the 2nd of October. Sales figures from China weren't included in the total sales figures. But, Blizzard tainment claimed Mists of Pandaria was a catalyst for "growth across all regions."

The release of Mists of Pandaria was not the greatest WoW Cataclysm Classic expansion launch. The first expansion The Burning Crusade moved 2.4 million units over the course of 24 hours and Wrath of the Lich King selling 2.8 million copies in the first day of its release, and Cataclysm selling a series-best 3.3 million by the time it launched.

As Blizzard Tainment had predicted back during August Mists of Pandaria helped in the growth of WoW Cataclysm Classic subscription figures. The massively multiplayer online role playing game's worldwide userbase grew by 900,000 in comparison to the 9.1 million reported months ago.

After Mists of Pandaria is out the gate Now that Mists of Pandaria is out, the WoW Cataclysm Classic development team at Blizzard Entertainment is currently working on the game's first post-launch update. The company will provide further information about this "in the coming weeks."

In addition to a brand new game update for Mists of Pandaria, Blizzard Entertainment confirmed in March it was already working on the two next expansions to buy WoW cataclysm Gold. In addition even though it offers a free variant of WoW Cataclysm Classic Blizzard has said previously that it isn't planning to move to a completely free-to-play model for business, and has stated that the company is content with its current $15 per month subscription plan.
