Scoring and Certification Requirements
To pass the PTCE and become a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you must score at least 1,400 points out of 1,600. After passing the exam, you’ll receive your CPhT credential, which is valid for two years. To maintain your certification, you’ll need to complete continuing education and pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam Renewal (PTCE-R).
