This means that the Knicks will also feature five players that are rated as high as 80 or above on the roster in NBA 2K23. including their franchise player who just penned a new contract extension and the highly sought-after new free agent. Which includes all five starters and brand new additions like Jalen Brunson as well as bench players such as Obi Toppin, and the late Derrick Rose.Going into the current version of the popular basketball simulator, I initially believed NBA 2K23's rankings would favor the Chicago Bulls after a bounceback year which saw the team win two All-Star bids in Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan and an All-Rookie selection with Ayo Dosunmu, and even an All-NBA nomination for DeRozan.

But, I'm more wrong. Some players of the Chicago Bulls have been docked points to their rating as they did the previous year, but not a single player earning a '90' overall rating or higher.15 players around the league were rated 90 or higher, clearly reflecting the general consensus within teams is that Bulls don't have a real star that can lead Chicago to a championship. With the exception of Chicago's All-Star duo, 2K seems overall dismissive of the talent on this team.

Despite the fact that Michael Jordan graces the front cover, NBA 2K23 couldn't be more wrong about how talented these currently Chicago Bulls are.2K has four currently Bulls players that are among the best 100 players in the sport. DeRozan and LaVine have the 19th and 23rd spots respectively, while Nikola Vucevic is ranked No. 59 and Lonzo Ball comes to No. 73. Surprisingly, Andre Drummond is rated as the fifth-best player in Chicago and barely missed the cut.

After that, the team's rating is an absolute wreck. The Bulls backcourt is taking huge hits, as Alex Caruso, Coby White, and Dosunmu have been all slashed one point when all the evidence suggests they'll be better than next season. Dosunmu's 76-percent overall rating is especially shocking considering he just earned All-Rookie honors. Fellow second Team guard Josh Giddey posted roughly equal performance to Dosunmu (and was outclassed by Ayo in head-to-head matchups) as a player, but scored a significantly higher 82 overall rating.

Rookie Dalen Terry is also given a laughably low rating of 71 on the overall scale which places him below even the likes of ex- Bulls Matt Thomas, Denzel Valentine, Troy Brown Jr. and Buy MT 2K23 Tomas Satoransky.
