NBA 2K franchise developer Visual Concepts has announced the acquisition of HookBang, an Austin-based video game division. HookBang will become a part of Visual Concepts, which is also home to the NBA 2K franchise studio. According to its LinkedIn page, HookBang specializes in “building Technology Showcasing applications utilizing new and emerging technologies such as augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, image recognition, and more.”
